I think story wise, this was almost perfect. I’m hoping to find out more about her motivations. It’s because of the ending that I am really looking forward to the next part and playing as Elizabeth. Also, I was quite surprised by the ending. I liked the dynamic between Booker and this older Elizabeth. I enjoyed seeing Rapture as both a functioning city and as a society in decline. I felt that it took the characters of Infinite and fit them seamlessly into the world of Rapture. When it comes to story, I loved this DLC. One minute your fighting a group of guards, the next you fighting a group of splicer’s. For the rest of the game, you will fight enemies that are a mixture from both the original BioShock and Infinite. This is the Rapture you first walked into in the original BioShock. This is no longer the beautiful city of Rapture. You will find yourself in this department store about midway in the story. These posters announce that the store has been closed by the order of the council. Then, there are the posters for Fontaine’s Department store. Still, as you listen to the snippets of conversation from the people around you, it’s obvious something has gone wrong. I wonder, am I the only one who found these Little Sisters more disturbing then the ones in the original BioShock? Well, as every day as can be expected under water, with Plasmids, Big Brothers, and those creepy, creepy Little Sisters. It’s also filled with people living their every day lives. I spent several minutes just wondering around to take in the visuals. She leads Booker out of his office and into the hallways of the city of Rapture. The game starts with a slightly older Elizabeth hiring Booker to find a lost child. I say completely because this story takes place somewhere in the beginning to middle of that collapse. The story itself is set in Rapture just before the society completely collapsed. You use your Plasmids and your weapons to fight enemies while you try to reach your objective. Still, I just felt it was easier using a normal weapon.Īs for the game play, it’s just every other BioShock game.
It’s certainly…effective when dealing with enemies. I’m not sure how I feel about the Radar Ranger. Both are introduced late into the episode, so you don’t really get to use them that much.
In the DLC, you get a new Plasmid and a new weapon. It also won’t take long to get all the achievements. I was able to play through it twice in a night. At the time of this review, only the first episode has been released. Rather it’s a story that is being released as two DLCs. You won't get to use all of your Plasmids here, just the ones that you need, but it's enough and if you don't get all the audio recordings in one play through, you won't mind going back to get the rest.
